Numeric Concepts with Memory Skills

This challenging module contains five higher level programs. Tasks include number "games," which train visual memory – working, immediate, and short-term, deductive and inductive reasoning, quick visual discrimination, categorization, and sequencing. The programs can be set up to target reading and following detailed directions. As with the other Captain's Log modules, "Silver", "Gold" and "Diamond" levels provide appropriate presentations for children, teenagers and adults, and programs are customizable for individual needs. The higher levels of this module can be used to enhance advanced reasoning and memory skills for peak performance.

Here are some quick samples of two of the exercises. To explore the programs thoroughly, order a fully-functional trial CD.

The player is required to quickly scan the screen and then classify and identify images based on a given rule. For a challenging logic exercise, "Matchmaker" can be set up so that it presents the exercise without the rule. The player must then deduce what the rule is from the feedback.

In this challenging visual memory exercise, the player must remember the number sequences he sees. Visual perception and working memory abilities are critical for success.
