Autism Society of America - resources and links regarding autism

CHADD - A national, non-profit organization representing children and adults with ADHD. Founded in 1987 by a group of concerned parents, CHADD offers education, advocacy and support.

FetaWeb.com - Companion site to From Emotions to Advocacy: The Special Education Survival Guide by Pam and Pete Wright. Contains articles about and pertaining to special education and learning disabilities.  Also includes a list by state of resource centers and therapists.

Learning Disabilities Association of America - A national, non-profit organization devoted to advancing the welfare of children and adults of normal intelligence who exhibit perceptual, conceptual, or coordinative disabilities.

Learning Disabilities Online - information on many different aspects of the field of learning disabilities.

Misunderstood Minds - PBS site which complements their series on children with learning disabilities. Contains stories from the program and links for parents.

National Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) - ADDA's mission is to help people with ADHD lead happier, more successful lives through education, research, and public advocacy. ADDA focuses especially on the needs of ADHD adults and young adults.

National Mental Health Association - one of the oldest and largest non-profit organizations addressing mental health and mental illness.

Sensory Integration Education & Research Foundation - This innovative website includes a chat room (hosted once a month), "Ask an OT" bulletin board, and quarterly newsletter. Coming soon… on-line courses for parents, educators and therapists. SIERF's primary mission is to support education and research in sensory integration and other related disorders.

U.S. Department of Education - contains links for parents, educators and students on everything from the latest research, applying for grant money and financing higher education.
