Neurofeedback and cognitive training in one easy-to-use powerful system

SmartMind Pro can be used in tandem with the 2000 Captain’s Log Brain Games to improve cognitive skills. Research has explored the effectiveness of simultaneously presenting neurofeedback with Captain’s Log (Tinius & Tinius, Journal of Neurotherapy, 2000). The treatment group was comprised of individuals diagnosed with ADHD and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI). After only twenty sessions, the treatment group’s auditory and visual attention and response control scores on the IVA+Plus were normalized. Using the SmartMind Pro neurofeedback system and the Captain’s Log Brain Games, it is simple to adjust the level of mastery your client is expected to reach, putting success within the grasp of lower level clients or challenging those individuals with higher level skills to stretch their cognitive abilities. Both SmartMind Pro and the Captain’s Log Brain Games can be easily customized to fulfill a variety of training protocols. New Games and Neurofeedback Training Options

NeuroSport Games

Using only brain power, the trainee can win at basketball, football, soccer, and more! Our new NeuroSport Games make controlling brainwaves fun for all ages. The trainee can compete against himself or play against a computer opponent to see who can achieve the highest score! As the trainee becomes more practiced with maintaining their EEG, the training difficulty will automatically adjust so as to continually provide the trainee with a challenge.

MindPower Games

Enhance your SmartMind Pro system by adding entertaining “video games” that interact with the neurofeedback. You must maintain your SmartMind Pro EEG criteria, i.e., stay “in the zone” while playing the game, which you control with the mouse, keyboard, game controller, or touchscreen. The better you concentrate, the more points you win.

The Training Plans Module

The Training Plans Module is only available as an add-on to the SmartMind Pro system, not to the Home System. It is used on the Pro system to create training plans for use on either the Pro or the Home systems. If licensed to use the Training Plans Module, you can include any of the SmartMind Pro add-ons you own in your training plans for your own use in the office or for your clients to use at home. So, for example, if you have the license to the full Captain’s Log Brain Games but not to the MindPower Games or the NeuroSports Games, you can include any or all of the Captain’s Log Brain Games in the training plans you create for a client, but you cannot include the MindPower Games or the NeuroSports Games until you purchase those licenses. Home users cannot purchase any games separately for their home systems; they can only use the SmartMind Home system with the support of a SmartMind Pro professional and they can access only what the professional trainer has on her own system and what she has used to create their training plans. When you create an individualized training plan for a client, the plan is launched from that client’s icon on the screen.
