Dr. Joseph Sandford, founder and president of BrainTrain, is proud and honored to be the recipient of the Brain Injury Association of New York State Corporate Citizen Award. This award recognizes remarkable companies whose business has contributed greatly to improving the quality of life and care of individuals living with brain-related injuries and challenges. The award letter states, “Your work is not only a testament to purpose, compassion, and community – it is an enduring monument to hope.” The award is given partly in recognition of BrainTrain’s contributions to wounded veterans.
The Brain Injury Association of New York State has directed over $1 million dollars toward improving the quality of life for brain-injured individuals during this year, and the organization has steered over $5 million dollars to brain-injury related health, policy, training, and legal efforts since 2008.
