|Once you have administered a test, you can choose to incorporate the IVA-2’s built-in rating scales. To begin, click the “ADHD Rating Scales” button in the main menu.
If you prefer to use any other ADHD rating scale, you can still manually enter the data from that scales into the IVA-2.
Next, select the test administration, and the session (if multiple sessions exist) for which you would like to incorporate the rating scales.
|After choosing the administration, you will be presented with all of the available rating scale options. There are four for parents (can be completed by mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, grandmother, grandfather, or guardian), four for teachers, and one for clients (older than 18).
1. Simply click the “Activate” button next to the scale you want. The rest of the online process is explained in this tutorial.
2. As an alternative, you can choose to print a hard copy of the rating scale questionnaire for the person to complete offline.
3. Once the printed questionnaire is completed, you can click the "Enter Answers" button and enter their responses.
Once the scale has been activated, a box will pop up asking for your email address. This will allow you to be notified as soon as the rating scale questionnaire has been completed. Enter your email address, confirm it, then click OK.
After entering your email address, you will see a confirmation box letting you know that the questionnaire has been successfully set up. Click OK.
A box with an automatically-generated User ID and Password will launch. Click the “Email” button to send this information directly to the person completing the questionnaire. Please note: the email will NOT contain any personal or identifying information.
Once you click the “Email” button, a new message will be created in your default email client with the details automatically inserted. Simply enter the recipient’s email address and hit Send.
There are a total of 36 questions in the questionnaire. The recipient will need to select their answer to each question and then click NEXT to move to the next question until all questions have been answered
If any answers are incongruent with one another, the person completing the questionnaire will be notified that some of their responses were inconsistent, and will be asked to review and correct them.
After completing the questionnaire and correcting any inconsistent responses, a notification that the rating scale has been completed will be sent via email to the health care provider. Please note: no data is sent in this email. All data is downloaded separately using an encrypted connection.
Once you receive the email stating that the questionnaire has been completed, you can return to the rating scales screen for that specific test session and click the “Download” button next to the scale you originally selected. This will transfer and score the rating scale data automatically. Once this is done, click “Save” at the bottom of the window.
A window will appear confirming that the rating scales were successfully saved.
Once you have downloaded the completed questionnaires, you can generate a report that incorporates the results with your other data. The IVA-2 includes five separate reports that utilize the rating scales data: the Clinical Report, the Standard Report, the Detailed Report, the Comprehensive Report, and the Rating Scale Report. Samples of all five can be found HERE.
